Pride and Prejudice

‘’Pride and Prejudice” is a novel, that represents the destiny of love in the end of 18^th and the beginning of 19^th centuries, written by Jane Austen. The novel allows to understand the feeling of love, worry and confusion that the characters experience during a short amount of time. Personally, I adore the atmosphere of the story, even though I would dislike living in a such mentality. I am going to show my point of views in the following essay.

To start with, I would like to mention the main character of the story, Elizabeth Bennet. Being the second oldest out of five sisters, played a role in being responsible and strong. Thanks to her behavior, she always knew her rights and wrongs, which brought her to a happy end. For example, rejecting a marriage proposal was an unusual situation for those times. Austen’s character went against her mother’s will to move with the heart. Moreover, Elizabeth managed to reach a happy life without disturbing other’s lives.

Second of all, Jane Austen shows that money was a massive part of society. Every decision was being made with an influence of obsessive thoughts about financial achievements. Most females were ready to give up love for money. To illustrate, I understand certain actions, when a lucky marriage can fix not only an individual’s but also their family’s problems. Overall, I believe that it is possible to start a family in an environment full of love and reach the wanted lifestyle together.

Thirdly, the novel can be considered as a motivational story as well. The author motivates to listen to your heart. Motivates to love and accept the decisions life has prepared for you. I had a feeling of relief when the characters presented, made mistakes and went through different stages of hard times. Nevertheless, seeing examples of hard life help to find things to appreciate in yours.

To conclude, an opinion has formed in me, that it is easy to judge or the opposite to admire other’s lifestyle without knowing the way they passed. “Pride and Prejudice” is the right example for the possibility of the first impression being wrong.
