Television advertising directed toward children (aged two to five) should not be allowed?

Television is an extensive source of information. Nowadays, it became harder for parents to control whatever their children are going to see. Personally, I agree with the statement, that television advertising toward children should not be allowed. I am going to explore my opinion in the following essay.

To begin with, advertisement is promoting a certain product for people of enough age, that are available to buy it. Although, marketing is a cunning sphere. Making advertisements with fun colors and voices is attracting not only the older generation’s viewers but also children. For example, many toy companies sell their products with showing how a certain toy is working and how necessary it is in children’s life. Convincing arguments make children demand toys from their parents, without knowing about the financial part. Moreover, advertisements can put a mass of parents in uncomfortable situations, while they try to carry out their children’s dream.

Second of all, children from age two to five are not able to fully understand if they are in a need of something or under the influence of the television. For this exact reason children can grow up with unorganized habits such as wasting their or other’s money. To illustrate, when I was a child, I often asked my parents for useless items that I could not understand at the time. The reason of this were my compeers as an example. Overall, children are the easiest age group of sharing interests.

In conclusion, I tried to explain my point of view about this topic. I believe, that television should not be allowed to advertise products for children between the age of two to five, because it seems early in my eyes. Parents will always find interesting items according to their children and their wallet.
